Baritone | Lead Singer (English) | Malaysian Sabahan | Nilai based

Hi, I am Joe and a mixed blood (Pakistan/Philippine) baritone singer in Colour of Voices. I was born in 1990 in a small town located in Lahad Datu, Sabah. I ventured into singing since high school and began to do it seriously during my years at the university by joining The Students Art and Culture Club where I heavily involved in many singing competition and won many awards.

After graduated from the USIM, I worked as an Executive in Kajang, Selangor. My passion for A Cappella music started to develop when I first watched Pentatonix’s debut back in 2011 when they won season 1 of The Sing Off. Ever since then, I became obsessed with A Cappella and make them as my main reference in vocal arranging. I met the rest of the COV members in 2015 when Pentatonix held their concert here in Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. I still remember that priceless feeling when I first singing with the guys while queuing to get into the stadium, that was when I realised that this group is where I belong to!

When talking about myself, I would say that I am a fun loving guy with a good sense of humour. I believe that my strengths are I am a person who can be flexible at any time. I regard myself to be a very open minded person, ready for new challenges, especially when it comes in doing what I love to do. People consider me to be direct and genuine, where I do not hesitate in voicing out my opinion for what I think is right and something that I strongly believed in.
